Woody Harrelson has confessed he agreed to help launch a new German TV station under false pretences - he only traveled to Europe so he go to a famous beer festival.
The actor stopped off in Munich in October on his way to London - where he is about to star in a West End play - to help push new network Das Vierte.
But the party-loving former Cheers star had more on his mind than professional obligations - he was desperate to experience the city's famous Oktoberfest. He says, "I gotta admit the main reason I was psyched out to go was not out of my big allegiance to Das Vierte, but out of my desire to hit Oktoberfest again after some 10 years."

When Kimberly Stewart, 26, unveiled her 5-carat engagement ring from Talan Torriero, 19, a week ago, most people assumed Stewart had financed it herself — after all, Torriero has no job besides his stint on the "Laguna Beach" reality show. Wrong!
Torriero did indeed buy the $75,000 bauble. During a shoot for the Bongo clothing line this week in L.A., Torriero was overheard telling pals he used his dad's credit card. Now that the brief engagement is off, "I should be able to get a full refund," he said hopefully.

Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston might not be an official Hollywood couple, but they're certainly hanging out together in the northeast Valley, according to Scottsdale police.
Vaughn - who was driving with Aniston - was pulled over Tuesday at 12:20 a.m. near Indian Bend and Scottsdale roads by a patrol officer who observed a "demolished" registration sticker on the license plate of the actor's rental SUV, Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said.
The officer reportedly detected the smell of alcohol in the car, and Vaughn was asked to take a field sobriety test. The star of Swingers and Wedding Crashers was found to be under the legal limit, police said, though he was asked not to drive.

If you had to think of a celeb who was in desperate need of a gravy boat, chances are your first guess wouldn't be Tom Cruise.
But according to The Sun, a sneak peak at Tom and Katie Holmes' wedding list suggests otherwise. Mega-wealthy Tom and the future Mrs. Cruise are after a whole host of household essentials for their marital home.
The Sun has revealed that as well as the gravy boat, Tom and Katie are short of a dinner service, wine glasses and a coffee pot.
Guests, including Victoria and David Beckham, John Travolta and Kelly Preston and Kirstie Ally, can buy their gifts online from Neiman Marcus.
The list also pins down the date for the star-studded nuptials as October 21st, 2006.
