Genius

For those of you folk who donÂ’t visit Kevin FederlineÂ’s MySpace page regularly, hereÂ’s an update.

BritneyÂ’s trophy husband, drunk with power, set off sparks on his site by demanding approval of all comments posted. Whereas once you could leave any comment you wanted, now heÂ’s policing posts to make sure everything is K-friendly. While his fans are outraged by their lack of freedom of speech, Kevin is telling them itÂ’s for their own good.

HereÂ’s what he posted Monday on his Myspace blog:

if you all didnÂ’t use my comment section to dis each other i woulda kept them without approvalÂ…but all that shit was stupid. i donÂ’t care if you donÂ’t like me but respect each other.

Marc Loves Lola

Readers of the paper edition of Variety were treated to an unseasonable Valentine today, in the form a full-page ad taken out by Marc Anthony, declaring his bursting love and pride for his wife and former object of public fascination, Jennifer Lopez.

Only her husband would know Lopez intimately enough to compose the tribute to the "Women in Film" award winner in the form of a mock screenplay.

After Anthony sneakily placed the trade rag near her morning melon, casually asking if she had "happened to see page 46," a curious Lopez quickly discovered the gushy ode.

--She won a WHAT? Gigli what? Jersey Girl what? Angel Eyes what?

Alba Gets Sloppy Seconds

Jessica Alba has snatched up Lindsay Lohan's role in the new movie Bill, after the teen actress abruptly quit the film because the first-time directors weren't well known enough.

The movie, which also stars Aaron Eckhart and Amanda Peet, begins production tomorrow. Lohan, 19, pulled out of the film on Tuesday, claiming she only wanted to work with big-name directors. Alba recently worked with the producers of Bill on the movie Awake.

Lohan is already working on her next project, Georgia Rule, starring Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman.

Duets

"Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan surprised fiance Michael Bolton by doing a duet with him on his new album, "Bolton Swings Sinatra."

"I didn't think she was going to have the courage to step up to the microphone and record, and she did," Bolton told AP Radio in a recent interview.

Bolton, 53, and Sheridan, 42, dated for several years in the early 1990s but reconnected last year. Sheridan's publicist confirmed their engagement in March. The couple sings the classic love song "The Second Time Around" on Bolton's album, which was released last month.

"It was terrifying for her because she's been self-conscious about singing all her life, but she has a beautiful voice," Bolton told the AP.

He called Sheridan's voice "breathy," and said it was difficult to match their tones.

Life Imitating Art?

"Entourage" star Jeremy Piven and actor Stephen Dorff nearly came to blows after trading insults in the wee hours of yesterday morning at Bungalow 8.

Both actors - who had come from Sean Combs' party at Pink Elephant after the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards - were, according to many spies, "well lubricated" when they showed up at Bungalow at around 1:30 a.m.

Piven, a well-known swordsman who once made out with four different women in 10 minutes in front of a Page Six reporter, had just gotten done telling our spy how he wanted to "score with chicks," when Dorff - who was in "Blade" and "Cecil B. DeMented" - cut the bathroom line in front of him.

According to a source, the altercation was "very high school."

Piven: "Yo, what are you doing? You know you don't need to cut the line!"

Dorff: "I can do what I want!"

Piven: "No, you can't!"

Dorff: "Yes, I can!"

Piven: "You're a has-been!"

Dorff: "At least I am a movie star - you're only on TV! Cable TV!"

The last comment caused Piven to scream expletives, and security guards were called before the two could come to blows. A witness said, "Jeremy, who actually had a table, was shoved into a bathroom by security and left shortly after. And Dorff, who was in the standing-only section, kept hanging around all night telling anyone who would listen, 'I am going to kick Jeremy Piven's ass!' It was hilarious."

Dorff ended up at 5 a.m. at Scores West, telling strippers, "I'm a movie star - you should want to sleep with me," according to one member of his entourage.

A call was placed to Piven's rep - Dorff doesn't have one - but it seems Piv's longtime rep, Siri Garber, fired him Monday. "He has morphed into his obnoxious 'Entourage' alter ego, Ari Gold," a source said.

Last week, Piven was "obnoxious" at the "Entourage" premiere at the Arclight Cinemas in L.A. Spies relate that he kicked Garber out of her seat midway through the screening "so some hot chick he had just met could sit down. He was loud and awful to her. Siri has been with him forever and done everything for him - he is a pig."

Former "Full House" child star and crystal meth addict Jodie Sweetin is getting back to work.

The show, taped at Fuse music TV's Midtown studio, features people of all ages taking off their clothes to their favorite music videos. No word yet if Sweetin plans to take off her duds, but Fuse says it hopes she will use her connections to get her former little TV sisters - Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - to join in the freaky fun.

Clooney and Pitt's Project Is a Bust

George Clooney and Brad Pitt's Las Vegas, Nevada dream is over - their ambitious Las Ramblas hotel complex is dead.

Ten months after its much-publicized launch and following multiple rumors about its demise, the Las Ramblas sales office has been closed and the 25-acre plot of land the hotels, casinos and play areas were to stand on has been sold to the developers of the neighboring W Hotel, Casino & Residences for a whopping $202 million.

The news has been confirmed by Dan Klores Communications, the New York-based publicity firm representing Las Ramblas. A spokesman says, "We are no longer dealing with that account as I understand the Las Ramblas project is no longer going ahead." Vegas insiders claim rising construction costs are behind the decision to shut down the Las Ramblas venture - a project backed financially by Clooney and Cindy Crawford's restaurateur husband Rande Gerber, and supported by new dad Pitt.

Pitt and Clooney were signed onto a boutique project rumored to involve Gerber and Station Casinos on the plot of land currently housing the Wild, Wild West Casino. When the project details were unveiled in 2004, they included 4,400 rooms and 11 high-rise towers. Sin City property watchers now believe Clooney and Gerber will collaborate on a smaller Las Vegas hotel and casino property designed, in part, by architecture fan Pitt.

Janice Tells All

With her new show debuting last night, Janice Dickinson is makin' the media rounds and she's as entertaining as ever. On Howard Stern yesterday morning she went into great detail on her celebrity sexual conquests, and some CRAZY things came out! Some of the highlights:

She spent "several days" in a hotel room with Grace Jones and Dolph Lundgren having wild sex. She said they were both amazing lovers and the 3 of them covered every possible position.

She had a hot affair with Kelly LeBrock. Once after staying up all night having sex, she was awoken by Kelly's maid, fired her and went back to bed.

She and Mick Jagger went at it many times.

Madonna has a funky smell so she never went there.

Bill Cosby tried to pressure her (saying that she owed him), so she turned him down.

Brit To Design Baby Clothes

Britney Spears is planning on taking her mind of her reportedly imminent divorce by designing clothes for babies and toddlers.

According to The Sun, the pregnant singer said: “I’ve spent so much shopping for Sean I thought, ‘I could do that and have people paying me a fortune.’”

A friend of Brit's added: “She’s had a lot of time on her hands where it’s just her and Sean and she would doodle designs. She’s really creative and loves doing it.

“She’s designed a little punk rock outfit, a hip hop outfit and a sharp suit. They’re so cute! I think she’ll try and get boutiques to sell them. She doesn’t want to fund it herself.”

Pee Wee's Back!

"Pee-Wee's Playhouse," the subversive Saturday morning children's show made famous by actor Paul Reubens, is scheduled to take over late night, according to HollywoodReporter.com.

Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's affiliate aimed at an 18-plus demographic, has purchased the entire run -- 45 episodes in all along with the Christmas special -- where Pee-Wee has a chance to charm anew at his 11 p.m. time slot beginning July 10.

Debuting in 1986, Pee-Wee Herman and his motley crew of characters like Chairy, Cowboy Curtis and Captain Carl, enjoyed success until the CBS show was cancelled in 1991 following Reubens' arrest.

Jen Weeps

Jennifer Aniston reportedly wept in front of her boyfriend Vince Vaughn when she heard about the birth of her ex-husband Brad Pitt's baby daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

Aniston, 37, tried to be brave about the news, which broke two weeks ago, by calling Pitt's mother Jane to send her best wishes. But pals are concerned the former Friends star is still traumatized over Pitt's new life with Angelina Jolie.

Aniston's friend Tiffany Laws tells British magazine Star, "Jen just burst into tears." "She tried to cover it up in front of Vince but he assured her it was OK to cry." "Jen called Brad's mom to offer her congratulations but couldn't get through."

"I think she had the feeling, 'That could have been my baby.'"

Harvey's Crazy

Harvey Keitel is going to hate his ex-wife Lorraine Bracco's jolting, warts-and-all autobiography.

In "On the Couch," the sexy "Sopranos" star goes into unusually explicit detail about Keitel's horrendous temper, drug problems and "destructive self-absorption." She reveals that as she once excitedly took a call from Michael Douglas to discuss a movie project, Keitel screamed, "Why don't you just go [bleep] Michael Douglas' [bleep]!"

She also tells how Keitel creepily sent her third hubby, Edward James Olmos, a machete with a two-foot blade, and had his 9-year-old daughter, Stella, tell the actor, "Daddy said you'd know what to do with this because you're Mexican."

But Bracco, who had a nasty six-year custody battle for Stella, insists she's not trying to inflame things further. "The truth of the matter is that 90 percent of it is already out there in court documents," Bracco told Page Six's Bill Hoffmann at a Barnes & Noble signing yesterday. "The book is really more of a celebration of my life. I didn't write it to get people mad."

Meat Sues

Someone else might have written the "Bat Out of Hell" song, but Meat Loaf claims he should be the only one to use the phrase in connection with music.

In a federal lawsuit dated May 26, the rocker, whose real name is Michael Aday, said the expression had been publicly associated with him since the 1977 release of his "Bat Out of Hell" album.

The suit claims defendant Jim Steinman, who wrote the original song of the same name, wrongly claims ownership of the phrase.

The album and its 1993 follow-up, "Bat Out of Hell II," sold 48 million copies worldwide, according to the suit. The suit seeks damages of more than $50 million.
