Endquote

"I don't believe in God, I believe in Al Pacino, and that's true. If I ever get a phone call saying, 'Would you like to work with Pacino?,' I would go crazy."

Dallas Reunion

J.R., Bobby, Sue Ellen and other members of the Ewing clan are getting back together for a "Dallas" reunion party.

Cast members of the popular prime-time soap opera that ran from 1978-91 will return to the Southfork Ranch north of Dallas on Nov. 8 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show. Several key actors, including Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, have confirmed they will attend.

Hagman, who played central character J.R. Ewing, a scheming oil baron and cattle rancher, said he is looking forward to the event. "I may not be able to do the 40th," said Hagman, 76, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. "Thirty years is pretty good, and the show is still very popular."

The reunion at the ranch in suburban Parker, north of Dallas, is open to the public. Tickets go on sale Aug. 22 and will cost between $100 and $1,000. The event will include fireworks, a country music concert, a question-and-answer session with the cast and tours of the mansion.

Adam West may be busting a move on "Dancing With the Stars." The original "Batman," now almost 80, is being considered for a spot on the next "Dancing" season. "Adam is in outstanding shape," said a source. "He works out an hour a day and walks with his big dog on his farm in Sun Valley, Idaho." A rep for West said that he is "not definite yet, but is one of the people they are seriously looking at. They will decide on everyone on Aug. 25."

Adrian Grenier and his girlfriend, Transformers 2 star Isabel Lucas, have split on the heels of her car crash while driving with costar Shia LaBeouf, a source said.

The pair broke up about three weeks ago, right after the accident that left LaBeouf with a crushed hand. "It wasn't working out," says a source. "Adrian saw her with Shia and that was kind of it – the crash, their hanging out. He obviously didn't appreciate it."

Lucas, 22, was the passenger in LaBeouf's car. She was treated for minor bumps and bruises at the hospital and released. Lucas's rep confirmed that the actress "is single." According to reports, Lucas had been dating Entourage star Grenier, 32, for several months.

Tom Gets Replaced

The new film, Edwin A. Salt, will now star Angelina Jolie instead of Tom Cruise.

Once expected to star Tom Cruise, the Columbia Pictures espionage thriller will be redrafted by screenwriter Kurt Wimmer as a star vehicle for Angelina Jolie. Philip Noyce remains attached as director and Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkashare producing.

Jolie is close to a deal to play the title character, a CIA officer whoÂ’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence.

Cruise had long flirted with the project, but that ended recently. The well-regarded script had several male movie stars circling. Jolie took a liking to it, prompting the studioÂ’s decision to rewrite it. Sources said the project wonÂ’t require that much of an overhaul to suit her.

Jen's Not Laughing

John Mayer may have gone too far when he recently joked about being unfaithful to girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

Last month, the singer-songwriter admitted to concertgoers that he’s experienced “dream cheating.” Now magazine reports the former “Friend” failed to find the humor in his comments. “One of the things that causes tensions between them at times is the jokes John makes when Jen isn't around,” a source said. “She wasn't happy when he told the audience at his show in California on July 26 that he had a dream he had made out with someone other than her.”

Not to worry. Jen’s sure to forgive John for his nocturnal gallivanting soon. A fan who attended the Mountain View show told E! News the singer tried to make it up to the actress that same night. “(John) had to do his penance to his girlfriend by singing ‘Dreaming with a Broken Heart,’” the audience member said.

The Boss Bowl

The next Super Bowl is really going to rock. This year, Tom Petty rocked the halftime crowd at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. But Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1 in Tampa will feature Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, sources said. "He was just confirmed," a spy added. "Little Stevie (Van Zandt) has already rented out the Hard Rock Café for a party."

Applegate Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer her rep confirmed Saturday.

"Benefitting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening," the Emmy nominated Samantha Who? star's rep said in a statement. "Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

Applegate's mother is a breast cancer survivor. "The first time she was diagnosed I was a very young girl – probably 7. I'm not sure it really fully hit me at the time, but she had to undergo surgery and have a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery," Applegate, 36, told USA Today in 2003.

"It was devastating for my mother to lose one of her breasts and have to go through all that," Applegate said. "It is a very personal cancer for the women it affects. This is about women's womanhood. It's one of the aspects of our femininity."

Applegate is scheduled to appear on September 5, alongside stars including Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, and Sally Field at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon.
