Yes, bedbugs are making a comeback in hotels, according to experts. No, these are not lice, fleas or scabies. These are those old bugs from medieval times that likely spawned the phrase "sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite."
Bedbug experts cite several reasons for this resurgence, including increased travel.
"Homeowners are staying in hotels, picking up bedbugs in their suitcases and bringing them home," said Cindy Mannes of the National Pest Management Association in Dunn Loring, Virginia, outside Washington.
Feelin' strong? Keep reading then...
Bedbugs are small flat bugs about the size of an apple seed that live in cracks and crevices of beds. They only come out at night to feed on people's blood with a painless bite. The only way to know about a bite is when you see the red, itchy welts on your skin in the morning.
"You'll also see dark red or black streaks of digested blood on the sheets along with a very distinctive, sweet smell which is the telltale sign of bedbug infestations," said Ludek Zurek of the Kansas State University's Department of Entomology.
Happy Travels!

The 7,000-square-foot museum may be hard to miss when it opens amid searchlights, a car show and 1950s music. But museum supporters aren't counting on hoopla alone to attract some of the 32,000 vehicles that the Indiana Department of Transportation estimates pass the Gas City exit each day. About 3,000 of those currently pull off at the exit, according to a 2000 study.
The gallery chronicles the life of the star of "Rebel Without a Cause," who died in a car crash at age 24. The new museum about 50 miles southwest of Fort Wayne also will house a 35-seat theater and a research library.
Sounds pretty cool to me!

1) Big's still got it.
2) Girlfriends can get you through anything.
3) You cannot replace something of sentimental value with something flashy and expensive. It just doesn't work that way. If Danceman truly tried to understand her, he would have called one of the girls and tried to get the SAME necklace.
4) Menopause looks like hell on earth. Similar temperature, too.
5) I love Miranda--"Go get our girl."

The lead singer has the most amazing voice--she can go from belting out her chest voice straight to a light sound coming from her head voice. True talent. And the lyrics give me chills.

The Net series features an entirely different cast. Dr. McCoy is portrayed by a urologist from Oregon, and Capt. James T. Kirk works during the day as Elvis at an amusement park.
"New Voyages" focuses on the continuing voyages of Kirk and crew in the 1966-1969 "Star Trek" television series, which was canceled after its third season -- the same year the first astronaut walked on the moon.
The series is being restarted as if it were in the fourth year of the original five-year mission.
The actors and producers, working for free, hope to raise $250,000 to donate to the Space Shuttle Children's Trust Fund on Sept. 8, the 38th anniversary of the first "Star Trek" episode.
New Voyages is online at www.5yearmission.com. Space Shuttle Children's Trust Fund: www.spaceshuttlekidsfund.org.

Ok, so it's rumored that Kid Rock and Pam are splitsville. Insiders say he's now linked with model and star of WB's "Jack and Jill," Jaime Pressly.
Ok. Fine. Whatever. I don't who he dates.
BUT--can someone explain to me how someone as repulsive as Kid Rock--greasy hair, wifebeaters, etc.--lands ANYONE that even resembles attractive. And don't say money. These women could date plenty of other guys with cash.

Actor Robert Downey Jr. is to receive the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year.
The awards are given to performers who have made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment" by Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the nation's oldest undergraduate drama troupe.
I can't say I'm a big fan of hers--but Downey Jr. is fabulous!

I'm a big fan of these bodysuits under suits. They stay put, aren't bulky, and don't come out of the back of your pants when you bend over or stretch. They also come in a mock turtleneck that also looks very professional (wide variety of colors too).

At 9 pm, be sure to catch the second-to-last episode of "Sex and the City."
Stick around and watch the new HBO movie, "Iron Jawed Angels" at 9:30 pm.
"Iron Jawed Angels" recounts for a contemporary audience a key chapter in U.S. history: in this case, the struggle of suffragists who fought for the passage of the 19th Amendment. Focusing on the two defiant women, Alice Paul (Hilary Swank) and Lucy Burns (Frances O'Connor), the film shows how these activists broke from the mainstream women's-rights movement and created a more radical wing, daring to push the boundaries of political protest to secure women's voting rights in 1920. Breathing life into the relationships between Paul, Burns and others, the movie makes the women feel like complete characters instead of one-dimensional figures from a distant past.
