Now here's a party in

Now here's a party in this whole controversy that I didn't think of:

The fetish shop that sold Janet Jackson her Super Bowl outfit are furious over her boob flashing stunt.

DeMask, of Manhattan, New York, say it made it look as if her bustier was flimsy, reports the New York Post.

They may be mad, but you can't BUY publicity like that!

..."unobservant."

A Pensioner who lived in a caravan unaware that his brother lay DEAD in the next room for 18 months said yesterday: "I'm not his keeper."

Bert Silver suspected there was something wrong with his elder brother George but did not check on him as he was not at his "beck and call". Instead, he spent the next year-and-a-half living in the mobile home and watching Sky TV, unaware his brother's corpse was decomposing in his bedroom just feet away.

The article goes on to say that Bert had a hearing problem. Ok, so maybe he didn't hear cries for help. But, did his NOSE not work??? Doesn't a body that has been decomposing for 18 frickin' months smell AWFUL?????

Nope! It's not Taco Bell gone wrong!

Leila LeTourneau returned from work late Monday to find crude oil covering her home's floors and spilling from the toilets, bathtub and sinks.

Experts have told her the oil kind of "burped up."

A second-grader was suspended for

A second-grader was suspended for a day for telling a classmate he would go to hell for saying, "I swear to God."

Brandy McKenith, 7, was suspended for swearing for saying the word "hell," but her family says she was referring to the biblical location of fire and brimstone.

Since when is "hell," in the Biblical sense a swear word??? I can understand punishment if a child said, "Gosh Mrs. Hart (my second grade teacher), you look like HELL today!" Or to a cafeteria worker: "What the hell is this junk you're serving me?" But referring to hell, as the Bible does? I don't get the problem.

ARGH! I'm so angry!

In an attempt to save money, I try to bring my lunch to school when I can. Last night, I made a fabulous salad, complete with spinach, bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, mushrooms, and shredded turkey. I put the salad, and my low-fat dressing in my lunch bag, brought it to school, and placed it in one of the student refrigerators.

And when lunchtime came, was my salad there? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But my lunchgbag and dressing was. Who steals salad and leaves the dressing? Weirdos!

Nope, I'm not talking about

Nope, I'm not talking about Janet's this time...

In the wake of the controversy over the airing of Janet Jackson's breast during Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show on CBS, affiliates of NBC are rebelling at broadcasting an episode of the drama "ER" set for Thursday due to a scene showing an elderly female patient's breasts, according to a published report.

Come on!!! The show is set in an emergency room!! The shot would be related to medical treatment! What is there to be upset about in this instance??

If there was EVER a time I wanted to read one of my dad's medical journals/books he would have let me--even if there was a naked, dare I say it? BREAST!

There's an interesting buzz going

There's an interesting buzz going around these days, and its focus is a new genre of celebrities: infohunks.

Anderson Cooper is a perfect example. Yale-educated and the son of fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt, he began his news career on Channel One, the network broadcast into schools around the nation. How did he land that choice job? Cooper told Papermag that in 1992 "I just started going to wars. I took a video camera and went to Burma." The videos he made there and in Haiti, Bosnia, Somalia and Rwanda impressed Channel One.

Can't get enough of him? Well, rest easy: Visit The Anderson Cooper Fan Club. This fan site includes a biography, FAQs, an unconventional, funny photo gallery and information on how to subscribe to the Gunmetal Grey mailing list.

Her literary agent said: "The book features Courtney's legendary writings that have been whispered and wondered about for years but that no one has ever seen. They're like the literary equivalent of Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series."

The 250-page book will include diary entries, love letters and notes to Cobain, unpublished lyrics, polaroids and private photographs with Cobain and their daughter Frances Bean.

There is much talk about the relationship between mathematics and music, which mostly consists of speculation by those on the outside, concerning some of the obvious things they have in common.

This article, written by math major, is an interesting piece on how the two subjects often intertwine.

Chris Kattan is going from television's "Saturday Night Live" to Lincoln Center's "The Frogs" in New York.

Kattan, a regular on the NBC late-night comedy series for seven years, will join Nathan Lane in "The Frogs," the Stephen Sondheim musical opening July 15 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

The musical, freely adapted from Aristophanes' comedy by Burt Shevelove, has been further rewritten by Lane, who will star as the Greek god Dionysius. The plot concerns a frog-infested journey by Dionysius, accompanied by his slave Xanthias (played by Kattan), to Hades. The twosome is in search of a famous writer who will help them save the world from destruction.

It seems to be

It seems to be a trend in Hollywood -- veteran actors displaying their uncovered posteriors in movies -- writes Jodi Noffsinger in a story at FOX News.com.

It notes the recent R-rated appearances by Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito, among others.

The article states, "Whether they are men or women, these older actors are making statements about being comfortable with their age, said Peter Graham, a film studies professor at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana (and my former Business Writing professor).

'It's refreshing to show people and bodies that aren't airbrushed,' said Graham. 'They've done everything, so why not?'”

I agree, Professor Graham!

So I went to 2

So I went to 2 parties yesterday--one for the first half, and one for the second half. BOTH parties were watching not only the Super Bowl, but also the Lingerie Bowl. I guess you had to buy it on pay-per-view. So, at every commercial, someone would switch the channel to the other "football" game.

Picture it. Girls in helmets, football pads, bras, and skimpy boy-cut shorts. With every tackle, each guy was hoping and praying that a piece of clothing would get ripped off.

I just laughed and shook my head. As if there weren't enough scantily clad women on the sidelines of the actual Super Bowl. I guess they needed more.

How awesome is this?

The Super Bowl parties for U.S. troops in Iraq will start hours before dawn, and there won't be any beer. But at least in Tikrit, soldiers have a lavish venue: They'll be watching a cinema-sized screen in a former palace of Saddam Hussein.

Despite the early hour, some 500 soldiers are expected to show up for the party in Tikrit.

It's going to be one sweet Super Bowl for those troops--and they certainly deserve it!
