Surprising Survey

A recent survey by Europe's Kerang! magazine asked people to name the most important person in rock.

You may be surprised by the results.

Coming in at #2--the Devil. Why? "Because the devil has all the best tunes."

And the #1 person in rock? Sharon Osbourne.

1 I grew up on hair metal in the 80s. She managed not only Ozzy's career, but the careers of several other bands, if I'm not mistaken. Plus, let's be real, she's kept Ozzy from hurting himself too badly for the past 20 years. Keeping him alive is pretty important to the heavy metal crowd.

2 Ha! I never thought of it that way. Just thought it was weird that neither of the top two ever played an actual note!

3 Ahh, but you're wrong there, Lawren. The Devil Went Down to Georgia and picked up his fiddle, remember?

5 hmm...I guess if they are going to look at it that way, you could say Thomas Edision was an important person in rock.
