before I had heard of the brand name Ugg, one of my friends was describing some boots she wanted, I thought she was using the word "ug" as a slang shortened version of Ugly. Then I found out it was a brand name. oops.

I know they say everything that's old is new again... but I remember these freakin Ugg boots back when I was in junior high (which was... oh my God... like 18 years ago). The surfers wore them, and they were the God-awful ugliest things THEN.
