Gandolfini's Tantrum

The New York Daily News reports that James Gandolfini got so upset after flubbing a line on the set of The Sopranos last week that he put his fist through a plate-glass window.

An eyewitness at the studio in Long Island City reportedly chatted with Steppin' Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden about the incident, relating that "the actor got increasingly agitated and threw a temper tantrum." The drama escalated when Gandolfini's hand began swelling and the crew feared that production might have to be shut down. Like Soprano, Gandolfini apparently cools off quickly. An HBO rep told the Daily News, "His hand is fine. He's on the set today and in a great mood."

Gandolfini's behavior has not gone unnoticed by the cast and crew, whose lives could have been disrupted if the actor's injuries were serious enough to shut down the set. "Everyone on the set is very upset over Gandolfini's infantile tantrum," said a tattler. "His stupidity could cost everyone their paychecks. Many people could soon be out of work for a long while because he acts like an infant."

1 Uh-oh. "Tony" is taking over. Time for Gandolfini to see a real shrink.
