Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, have split, a source close to Hilton says.
When asked about the split, Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, says, "It is not my policy to comment on my clientÂ’s private life. But I would not offer a denial." Hilton, 25, and Niarchos, 21, began dating last year.
Last month Hilton threw Niarchos a surprise 21st birthday bash at her Hollywood Hills pad. Some 100 guests turned out for the party, during which "Stavros did back flips into the pool and jumped from one end to the other," said a guest. "Everyone gasped and begged him not to continue because his stunts looked dangerous." The happy couple were inseparable that night, holding hands and kissing.
Niarchos was previously involved with Mary-Kate Olsen, whom he left for Hilton. For her part, Hilton was previously engaged to Paris Latsis, also a Greek shipping heir.

Rosie OÂ’DonnellÂ’s new mega contract with ABC has one absolute proviso: the former talk show queen cannot cut her hair.
You may recall there was an uproar toward the end of Rosie’s run as a syndicated talk show host because she chopped off her locks to emulate Culture Club songstress Helen Terry. O’Donnell’s enemies at Gruner + Jahr Publishing even used the wedge hair cut against her when they sued her for a million bucks after shutting down the “Rosie” magazine. They lost that battle. But ABC apparently wants Rosie to look as glamorous as possible when she sits down on “The View” among Joy Behar, Star Jones, and Debbie Hasselbeck.
And what about that table? O’Donnell tells me she will more than likely not sit at the far left, taking Meredith Vieira’s old chair. When “The View” returns in September from August reruns, the stage will likely be redesigned so Rosie is sitting in the middle. “And there’ll be a curtain on that table,” O’Donnell quipped.
Joining “The View,” O’Donnell says, will also be ideal for two other reasons: she can leave the city by 12:30 pm and be home with her kids when they return from school. And she’s not carrying an entire show on her back. She has co-hosts who will help with the burden of a five times a week live broadcast. “She wants to play with friends,” says a source. And now she’ll get to do that.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly planning to deliver their first biological child in a giant tub of water.
The movie stars have been looking into birthing possibilities at the Welwitschia Hospital in Namibia, and are keen to go aquatic when Jolie goes into labor. Iris Wabuto, a nurse at the clinic, says, "It will be natural and beautiful. "Instead of a man like Brad being pushed into the corner of a labor ward, he will be part of the birth process."
And the expectant couple have allegedly wasted no time in picking a name for the baby - they have settled on Africa in a tribute to the child's birthplace. A friend of Jolie tells British newspaper the Sunday Express, "They know the sex of their baby, though they're trying to keep that a secret. But they both think Africa would suit a boy or a girl. "It's exotic and mysterious - just like the continent where the baby will be born".

Leave it to Brooke Shields to emerge as class in her battle with Tom Cruise. A published report claims that Brooke has extended an olive branch to Katie Holmes right after the two women gave birth on the same day.
After the two both had healthy babies in the same hospital on the same floor just hours apart the big-heated Brooke put aside her differences with Cruise reports the Enquirer.
In fact, Mike Walker claims Brooke sent sent a symbolic olive branch in an arrangement of pink and yellow roses to the MI: 3 star and fiancée Katie Holmes with a sweet card.
Walker writes that the card read: "At times like this, when you have so much to be thankful for, I would like to personally welcome your daughter Suri into the world, and congratulate you both."

Anna Nicole Smith received a unanimous thumbs up from the United States Supreme Court on Monday, paving the way for the former Playboy Playmate of the Year to collect millions of dollars she claims were promised her by her late Texas oil tycoon husband, J. Howard Marshall II.
The decision by the justices overturned an appeals court ruling that the former reality TV star, pinup and weight-loss pitchwoman was entitled to nothing because federal courts lacked jurisdiction to hear claims that are also involved in state probate hearings. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in Monday's ruling that the appeals court was wrong and the district court properly asserted jurisdiction over Smith's claims against Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall, Reuters reports.
Smith, who met Marshall in 1991 when she was a 26-year-old topless dancer, wed the 89-year-old Texas oil tycoon in 1994. Marshall died the following year. His son, Pierce Marshall, claims his father's various wills and trusts make him the sole heir of a fortune estimated to be as high as $1.6 billion – which triggered the family feud that played out in courtrooms in both California and Texas. Pierce Marshall insisted that the more than $6 million in gifts Smith received in 1994 was all his father wanted her to get – a view upheld by a Texas state probate court. But then Smith was awarded $474 million by a federal bankruptcy judge in California because of her claims that the son had interfered with her intended inheritance.
A federal district court judge subsequently slashed Smith's award to $88 million. But the appeals court ruled she was entitled to nothing because federal courts lack jurisdiction in probate disputes.

Paris HiltonÂ’s parents have ordered her to stay away from their Las Vegas casino after she lost her $239,000 Bentley GT in a poker game. The party-loving socialite has now been ordered into rehab for gambling by her father Rick, 50, and mother Kathy, 47, who fear sheÂ’ll bet away her considerable fortune.
Already concerned by her addiction to poker, friends say the final straw for Paris’s parents came when the 25-year-old gambled away her car in a high-stakes hand recently. Shocked by their daughter’s out-of-control betting, Rick and Kathy decided enough was enough. “When they heard she’d bet her Bentley, they knew it had got out of hand,” an insider reveals. “She loved that car and wouldn’t part with it for any money.”
Even though the Paris Hotel And Casino was named after her, Paris is no longer welcome there. Her folks have banned the heiress from the club in a bid to cure her addiction. “Rick and Kathy introduced Paris to casinos, so feel really guilty,” says the source. “But they never thought she’d become so obsessed.”
Poker-crazy Paris now spends all her time gambling and admits she lives and breathes cards. The Simple Life star has become a regular fixture at Vegas casinos over the past few months, joining in poker tournaments with her younger sister Nicky, 22. “I’m obsessed with poker,” the older blonde socialite confesses. “It’s my favourite game now. I’m really lucky in Vegas. I always win.”

Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is calling on advertisers to stop using apes to sell products.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) activist wrote an opinionated piece that appeared on Friday in the Wall Street Journal.
In the articles she writes, "King Kong is my hero. He's big, muscular, sensitive, a terrific actor - and he's not real. "The use of computer-generated imagery has really taken off in Hollywood. So why has Madison Avenue suddenly gone bananas for real apes?"
The star wants to draw attention to the issue because of the growing trend of forcing chimps to sell products on TV. Anderson goes on to explain that in order to get the animals to perform, they are often subjected to abuse and kept in brutal conditions. She adds, "I've vowed never to be involved with a production that uses live apes because I don't want to be part of this cruelty.

Add another Hollywood beauty to the new mom club – or, at least, the group of wannabe moms: Halle Berry.
"I will adopt if it doesn't happen for me naturally," the Monster's Ball Oscar winner, 39, tells TV's Extra. "I will definitely adopt. And I probably will adopt even if it does happen naturally."

Says Nadia Canova, whose Montreal-based Montage Models Inc. discovered Aubry, then a cook, in 1997 at a Quebec ski resort: "He's a very quiet person, with good values."

He usually saves his beefs for other rappers; this time, 50 Cent is going after Oprah Winfrey.
In an interview with The Associated Press, 50 complained that Winfrey rarely invites rappers on her talk show: "I think she caters to older white women." "Oprah's audience is my audience's parents," the 29-year-old rapper said. "So, I could care less about Oprah or her show." He's not alone in his resentment toward the talk show host cum media mogul.
But, as 50 Cent said, Winfrey's purported disapproval might enhance a rap star's street cred. "I'm actually better off having friction with her," he said.

A new television reality show invites porn stars to test their serious acting abilities in London’s theater district, raising the question: Debbie can do Dallas, but can she take on Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard”?
“My Bare Lady” will cast four leading ladies from porn studios in a classic piece of drama to be performed in London’s West End. Their experiences undergoing a crash course in acting and appearing before a discerning British audience will air in three episodes on the Fox Reality cable and satellite channels this fall.
“It’s a wonderful tale of redemption,” said David Lyle, general manager of Fox Reality. “Do they want lines that are a little more challenging than ‘Oh, here’s the pool guy...’?” “Debbie Does Dallas” was a 1978 porn film about the misadventures of a young woman who becomes a cheerleader for a Texas football team.
The show’s concept is rooted in the bankable plot conflict of many television “reality” shows, taking people out of their accustomed element to see how they fare. Like Eliza Doolittle learning to speak proper English in ”My Fair Lady,” these women must overcome a challenge formidable to any actor. “If they can move a London theater audience to applaud, they have done pretty well,” said Lyle.

Eminem has moved to patch things up with his dying mother — by footing her medical bills.
The rapper, has been involved in a bitter feud with Debbie Nelson and famously poured out his hatred for her in a string of hit singles. Debbie, — who has terminal cancer — fired back by slapping her son with a lawsuit for defamation in 2002. The pair have barely spoken since.
But now a source close to the family says: “The nightmare Debbie has been going through with her cancer has put everything in perspective.” Em has agreed to foot the entire bill for his mom’s medical treatment.
Debbie, 51, is suffering from stage four breast cancer — which means the disease has spread to other parts of her body. The source added: “She is very weak and knows the prognosis is bleak. She is desperate to build bridges with her son and put things right before it’s too late. “He has recently started helping her financially with her medical bills. They’ve spoken a few times on the phone and now she desperately hopes he will visit her.”

Rolling Stones star Keith Richards is recovering in hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, but press reports disagree over how the guitarist was injured.
Initial reports said the 62-year-old rocker fell out of a palm tree while on holiday in Fiji on Thursday and suffered a mild concussion. A local newspaper then alleged Richards got on a jet ski after the fall and hurt himself again in another accident. Band spokeswoman Fran Curtis only comments that Richards was injured earlier this week and flew to New Zealand with wife Patti for observation. Her statement did not mention the severity of Richards' condition or how he was hurt.
New Zealand's Sunday Star-Times quoted Doctor Uzzel Kanti Dhar as saying Richards was admitted to a private hospital in Fiji on Thursday and then airlifted to Auckland later that day. Fans gathered outside an Auckland hospital yesterday, and New Zealand's TV3 reported that Richard's wife arrived carrying clothes, while a security guard carried in three guitar cases.

Ellen DeGeneres proved the darling of Friday night's 33rd annual Daytime Emmy ceremony, taking home the award for best talk-show host for the second time and the top prize for best talk show for the third year running.
"This means a lot of me," DeGeneres said on the stage of Hollywood's Kodak Theater (this year's three-hour show marked the first time ever the event was held out West). She also addressed her partner, actress Portia de Rossi, sitting in the audience and said, "I love you."
Also lucky: Rosie O'Donnell, who, as expected, was named to the enviable job as Meredith Vieira's replacement on The View when Vieira becomes Today co-host in September (while Katie Couric moves to the CBS Evening News). The View's co-creator and star Barbara Walters made the announcement with Rosie standing beside her. "Well, thank God," cracked O'Donnell, "because it was either that or Celebrity Fit Club." Added Walters, "We're so lucky to have her."
Former '80s teen idol Rick Springfield, who recently returned to General Hospital after 23 years, opened the show in an outdoor fan zone singing a medley of his hits before moving inside and concluded with "Jessie's Girl."
Other winners included Jeopardy!'s Alex Trebek, who beat Who Wants to Be a Millionaire's Vieira for the Emmy as best game-show host, and Caroll Spinney (a.k.a. Big Bird), who won a lifetime achievement award for his work on Sesame Street – which was also named best pre-school children's series. In terms of the awards for soap operas, Guiding Light won four Daytime Emmys, including actress Kim Zimmer as lead actress (her fourth career trophy). The show also had three first-time winners: Gina Tognoni (supporting actress), Tom Pelphrey (younger actor) and Jordan Clarke (supporting actor).
General Hospital was named best drama and directing, bringing the ABC soap a record nine trophies in the drama category. The show's Tony Geary (who plays Luke Spencer) won his fifth Daytime Emmy as lead actor. His first was in 1982.
