Probably. She's not the most articulate individual but most of the people I've met who came from "reduced circumstances" are fairly proud of themselves for rising above it - as they should be.

My cousin's boyfriend went to high school with the Duff's boyfriend, and it is indeed a "ghetto" place. It's more white trashy...but Duff's boyfriend was a major loser in high school...and still is. YUCK!
