Jessica Simpson is devastated after her best friend Cacee Cobb quit her job as her personal assistant.

Simpson has relied on her childhood pal for the past two years, with the pair even sharing a home. Toasting the future on Sunday when Cobb officially ended her employment with the star, Simpson gushed, "You are my best friend, I will be your best friend forever." A representative for Simpson tells American magazine Us Weekly, "It's true. They remain close."
