Sean "Diddy" Combs' ads for his new fragrance, "Unforgivable," were so hot that many department stores, especially in the conservative Midwest and Bible Belt, refused to run them.
That caused Estée Lauder to shoot a new "store-friendly" ad. The original ad has Combs lying in bed with a white woman and an Asian one, all looking as if they'd just had sex.
The new ad has Combs with just one woman. The original is still being used on billboards. John Dempsey, global president of Estée Lauder, said, "It is unfortunate that some people were so uncomfortable with something with that much sexual presence, but we stand by it."
