Dirty Debbie

Dirty Debbie:

Debbie Gibson is launching her pop comeback by shedding her togs for Playboy.

Gibson, who is still just 34-years-old, has decided that dropping her knick-knacks is the best way to promote her comeback tune, Naked.

--Man, this is weird. She was like the Sandra Dee of my era. Embarrassing admission coming: I LOVED her. I had the albums, and I even had that God-awful "Electric Youth" perfume. Then, when she made it big on Broadway, that was IT for me--she was my idol. More power to her, I guess. Most of her fan base probably isn't young and impressionable anymore anyway.

1 It worked for Tiffany!

2 I knew once Tiffany did Playboy, it was only a matter of time...not like that's a bad thing! :-)

3 But I liked Debbie. I thought she had far more talent than Tiffany. As for any photo spreads well gentlemen do prefer blondes.

4 See, dreams do come true. Some of them just take 15 years or so.

5 Wow* yeap, I still love HER music! I have every cd of hers. LOL And yeap, I wore her perfume too... hahaha It smelled good! And hey, if the girls still got it, then why not flaunt it. She's not getting any younger at this point. LOL

6 "Electric youth...power to see the energy...comin' up, comin' up strong...." Why yes, I am a nerd....and I had the perfume and the hat. I loved her....now, not so much.

7 I for one think it's great, but then again, it's Playboy and I'm a guy.

8 Didn't she change her name to "Deborah Gibson"..there was no more ~Debbie~ because she wanted to be taken seriously...hmmm. Shake yo Love, Ho. ~L.

9 Man I forgot all about that perfume. I didn't have it but my sister did.

10 I remember my brother once decided he liked that perfume, stole it from my room, and sprayed it all over our house. Aahhh, electric youth!

11 When she made it big on Broadway? Didn't she do like one musical? That perfume was to be taken EXTERNALLY, Lawren.

12 Well done to Deborah's "momager" and Deborah herself for killing off the last bits of Deborah's career. You want publicity and to be taken seriously - doing Playboy is not going to get you to be taken seriously. Former teen-queen will be known as another Playboy wannabe. What's left of Deborah's career - kiss it goodbye ! Sure people will look at the pictures, but what then after that. Deborah is supposed to be a tallented musician, instead people will think of her desperation in doing Playboy.

13 I don't understand - as far as I could tell, it did nothing for Tiffany.
