Avril Lavigne has agreed to make her acting debut in the new film Fast Food Nation.

The film is a screen adaptation of Eric Schlosser's best selling book reports IOL.com. Patricia Arquette, Bobby Cannavale, Luis Guzman, Ethan Hawke, Greg Kinnear, Kris Kristofferson and Wilmer Valderrama, will also star in the film.

The film, based on the book which exposed secrets of the fast food industry, is set to be released next year.
