I don't dispute that this

I don't dispute that this article raises some valid concerns about child obesity and what contributes to it. However, I remember a time when I ate Funyons and a Nutty Bar every day for lunch (sorry Mom, I know you thought I was buying a nice turkey sandwich and an apple with that lunch money) and I was a thin kid. Now, I fully understand that my metabolism was QUITE different then, but I think I stayed thin mostly because my parents got me off my ass and into activities. I had volleyball practices to go to, voice lessons, musical rehearsals, student council meetings, academic team meetings (yeah, I was a minor nerd), etc.

Get these kids off the couches and you won't have to worry so much about what they eat! Sports=good. Video games=bad.
