Jury Duty Fun

You'd think wheelchair-bound Michael Stevens would be cut some slack, but no.

He still gets grief because he was one of the jurors who acquitted Michael Jackson of child molesting. "I had someone come up to me the other day and tell me I was one of the 12 stupidest people in the world," the Santa Maria, Calif., resident told The Post's David K. Li. "I just told them they're entitled to their own opinion, and rolled away."

Stevens got a surprise the other day in the mail - another jury summons. He could be back in court this month judging another case in that same Santa Maria courthouse. A court rule could allow Stevens to avoid jury duty because he's served within the past year. But he said he wouldn't mind serving again: "I'm up for another challenge actually. Hey, who knows, maybe I could be a professional juror."
