The Rolling Stones are finalizing plans for their first studio album in eight years.

Expected to be released on September 5, itÂ’s believed the band recorded 18 tracks from which the final album will be selected.

The album was recorded in France during late 2004 and spring 2005 with producer Don Was. Mixing took place in Los Angeles earlier this summer.
