Brad Pitt has started the process to adopt Angelina Jolie's two kids, the actor's publicist informed the Associated Press on Friday.
A legal petition seeking to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed in Los Angeles, publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a written statement.
"We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children," the statement said. "No further comment is being made."

These poor children... being used as ploys to get some media attention. Wonder what they are going to do when Angelina moves on to a different man again.
I will be so glad when the two of them are NO LONGER news worthy.

I'm thinking that Brad's adoption of the kids is part of Angie's prenup demands. If she married Brad first, he could always delay or refuse to adopt which could result in his not paying child support after the couple divorced although it's rumored that she had child support in the prenup to begin with. Smart move on her part.
