The Holmeses were specifically not invited until Tom was back home in Los Angeles after his worldwide promotional tour and could monitor the babyÂ’s first visit with her maternal grandparents. TomÂ’s mother, Mary Jo Mapother-South, was there for the delivery. So were TomÂ’s sisters. But, as widely reported, the Holmeses were at their vacation home in Florida when they got the news that their daughter had given birth to their first grandchild.
“They are heartbroken,” says the source who filled me in on this, and this person knows what they’re talking about. But no one who’s interviewed Cruise for "M: I3" has dared asked these questions. Instead, they’ve let Cruise refer to Katie as “Kate” and do all the talking for her. The Holmeses are scared to speak out, say friends, for fear that they will be cut off even more from Katie and Suri.

What is wrong with Kate?Does she have no say so in what is going on. I can't believe that she would tolerate Tom's controlling way.If I was kate, I would take Suri and head for home. Life with someone that controlling will only lead to heartache.

Katie I think it is awful how you let Tom treat your parents. They have just as much right to see their granddaughter as TOm's family. It is such ashame you let scientology intefere with y our family life like that. And what is up with Tom "monitoring" the first visit. WHo the hell does he think he is King of the house!!! Does anyone else find it ironic that the most outspoken critic of psycho-theraputic drugs is the person that needs them the most? In my experience (I used to work in mental healthcare) all manic depressives are like that. Tom needs to get back on the Depakote.

Shame on you all for assuming the worst, he invited his mother and sister and not her mother and father. Maybe his family was there because they took it upon themselves to be there like most parents and family would. You don't get invited to a birth, you go to a birth. Picture me not being there. All I want to say is that in the long run, the grandchild will be the one who suffers the most. I went through a similar tug-of-war visiting right with my parents and grandparents...The only difference was that there wasn't as much money & power involved...All it did was cause pain for many years...Tom, stop being such an controlling ass!

As far as the baby and grandparent thing, I have had that happen in my own family and no one was "heartbroken."

Personally I've always found him a little strange. I was outraged at his comments about Brooke Shields-is he really that ignorant?!? Depressions medicine does help people. By the way I'm sure he's on Viagra or else they just don't have sex. I wouldn't touch Tom with a one hundred foot pole.

It's incredible how Tom Cruise can be on the top of the world for years, and suddenly fall in disgrace. It only took one outspoken belief, and the public was ready to pounce. I honestly feel Hollywood and the media were anxiously awaiting an incident or remark to dethrone Cruise.After all he had been on top for so long, and I am certain people are finding immense satisfaction in these unfortunate, bizarre, and very hard to digest rumors.

Is it me or did everyone forget the reason that Tom and Nicole adopted children. He said over and over that he could not have children. Then here is Katie with his child. I find this a little strange and it has never NEVER been addressed. Also part of the reason for the divorce was that Nicole got pregnant (later had a miscarriage).Again it was stated he could not have children so there was the question of who daddy was. Makes you wonder......

Oh MI3 had to be promoted. and for the life of me, how come his two previous wives never give birth to his" Biological" child/children. Oh they refused to go along with the charade. As far as im concerned katie is stupid for getting herself involved with a man, who thinks child birth should be peaceful. When you come into a relationship you need to except the person as they are. He already knows he has control over her cause she is a freaking baby. He got her to change religions for god's sake! He is treating her the way he wishes he could have treated nicole. Quite frankly im getting tired of him he is annoying the heck out of me.
