Queer Beer
A trio of Swiss businessmen
have launched a new drink for gay people called
Queer Beer.
Michael Hutmacher, the founder, said: "My business partner, who is gay, and I were talking about how to corner the homosexual market and came up with the idea for a drink aimed specifically at gay men and women.
Hutmacher added: "Our beer is a humorous attempt to identify with the gay scene and we hope it will help people to feel relaxed with their sexuality and not hide away." And he added despite its provocative name the lager wasn't just aimed at homosexuals but also straight people.
Moel Volken, from gay rights organisation Pink Cross, said the beer was an excellent idea. "I'm happy to see that homosexuals are being taken seriously as consumers. I just hope that the beer tastes good," he said.

Our objective is to typically finance the gay sporting teams of QUEBEC with the launching of this lager Québécoise. The Pride beer is a tasty blonde ridge in Quebec by the micro brewery the Chaudron International located at some steps of the gay village of Montreal. We are happy collaboration of several people of gay business who agreed to take beer in their establishment; Le Campus, St-Hubert BBQ du village, Roulé Boulé, ô camping, domaine de la fierté, l’Adonis, Le Rocky, Le Club Sandwich, Chez Clos, restaurant Universel, domaine Gai Luron, chez Claudette etc.. During the week of the gay pride it is the moment to give a blow of inch and to require beer PRIDE, indeed each business will give 1.20 $ the case to a gay sporting organization in collaboration with the brewery the Chaudron International and Foundation PRIDE.
We want that each gay sporting team has a sleeping partner because the participation in the plays of Montreal by of local gay association is essential.
