1 I love Peyton Manning, but what Lance Armstrong has done is so much bigger. ...and I'm not even talking about his relationship with Sheryl Crow. :-)

2 If he actually broke the record before the votes were due, it would have been much closer, though I still would have given it to Armstrong. I think this may just be the first time that the award has not gone to an Olympic athlete in an Olympic year, or at least a Summer Olympic year.
