That famous "Days of Our Lives" hourglass could be running out of sand - quickly.
NBC, which airs "Days" but doesn't own the soap, is considering canning the 41-year-old daytime drama if it can't negotiate a lower licensing fee, according to Variety. "Days" is currently contracted to remain on NBC through March 2007.
NBC officials had no comment yesterday.
--This just can't occur. I grew up watching this show. NBC should can that awful "Passions" show first.

Ba ha ha! There is no show that is more deserving of being canned then passions. Who the heck watches that crap?!? I did see Jesse Metcalf on Passions once when I was flipping through the channels...
