"All the reports about phone calls between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie are all made-up lies," Huvane told Extra.
--Ok readers, what do you think? Should Pitt have done a courtesy call or is it good that he followed the old mantra, "When it's over, it's over?"

Given how recent the divorce was (whether you count the official October date, or the January '05 split) I think he should have called her. It wasn't like she was a short-lived girlfriend, they were married for 4 years. If I were Jen I would be a little hurt. But then again, she has already stated that he is missing "a sensitivity chip"

I don't think he owed her a call. They've been apart for over a year. He's been with Angelina just as long. Maybe "his people" could have called "her people" but I don't think he was wrong. He moved on and she claims she has. (ref: burning of wedding dress etc.) Why should he call her?

Would a courtesy call make him feel better or her feel better?
No way we can know what is going on there but my gut reaction says no call. They both need to move on with their own lives.

No reason to call. It would seem like "rubbing it in" to me ....

Ordinarily, I would say no call. But due to how public their relationship was/is, I think it would have been kind for him to have given her a courtesy call before it broke in the news.

It doesn't matter what the potential reaction was going to be. They were married for four years, if something big happens, like hospitalization, or pregnancy or a death of a close relative they owe each other a call. They shared a life, albeit briefly, and they should respect that even if they don't respect each other.

I say no call. The relationship is over and you move on. This wouldn't be much of an issue if the relationship and aftermath wasn't so public.

I would usually say no call, I mean I don't think I would want to hear from my ex about something like that... BUT if I think they have such a unique circumstance being in the public eye, that he probably should've called her just to break it to her like that instead of on TV or in a magazine.

I agree with Kendra and Eli. Moving on is fine, and he didn't owe her anything. But since it was going to be talked about by the media, who would act as though Jen's reaction was also part of the story, then he should have called.

I agree with Sheryl - it would have been nice for him to give her a call to share the good news in private. They were together for a long (by Hollywood standards) time, and it's the courteous thing to do.

If Brad was all about courtesy, he wouldn't have been cheating on his wife to begin with, ya know? I say he's a pig, and she's better of without him. I also wonder if she hit her head, because...well...Vince Vaughn? Is she serious? Ew.

Actually I think Jen shoulda called Jolie and said, "Listen babe, you hang with BP too long and you're gonna be wishing you had Billy Bob back; ya know what I'm saying?

Oh god yes, call her and give her detailed information on how EXACTLY the insemination took place. Then laugh uproariously, tell her she's still pretty hot and that you'd love to nargle her tasties when Ms. Jolie swells into a hippo. that should close off the old relationship pretty thoroughly. Or did I not understand the goals of this exercise?
