Stop Talking, Kanye

Like I needed another reason to think that Kanye is a moron:

"I think white people are allowed to say 'bling'. They are allowed to say old-school black slang, like 'hottie' and 'homie'.

"Actually, I do not think that (white people) are allowed to use slang until it is at least a year old. If you say a slang word too early, it's like you're trying to be black. So as long as the slang is a little played out, you're all good."

3 Seriously hate him right now. White or black-- the guy's an ass.

4 I think it is pretty funny. And pretty true. The guy speaks his mind, and I don't think that is necessarily worth hating him for.

8 I agree that people should have their own opinions and be able to voice them as well, but I still think he has proven to be an ass as of late. But, that's just my opinion. As a side note, I had no idea that "hottie" was old school black slang. But, am sure glad to know that I am allowed to use it

9 Funny...when it's a celebrity voicing his opinion, it's gutsy, but if I were to say that black newscasters shouldn't be allowed to SOUND WHITE, it would be racist. Let's just keep it equal.

11 I don't agree with the things Kanye West has said, of late, but I had to laugh out loud watching his meltdown on the telethon. In replays, it was great to watch a guy who's clearly locked and loaded and about to go off the reservation. Mike Myers' WHAT THE...? head-fake had me in stitches. There's nothing funnier than watching people come unglued on live TV.

12 Kevvy, I'm with you on this one. The look on Mike Myers' face was priceless. I laughed for hours--saw it live on the east coast. Much as I don't care for the guy, he illustrates what the first ammendment stands for, good or bad. I'm waiting for George's next speech (snl? are you listening?) where he says "kanye west hates rich white people." LOL
