"Sopranos" mob boss James Gandolfini says he's fortunate to be unscathed after he crashed into a taxi while scooting around the Village on his Vespa.

"I'm fine," Gandolfini told The Post yesterday, one day after an accident on Hudson Street left him sprawled on his back with ripped sweatpants and a mangled machine. "I'm tough. My bike, that's not so tough. It's not doing well," he said. But the self-proclaimed macho man is looking to soften his image. "Do me a favor," he said. "Get a picture of me smiling in The Post. I always look angry."
