Top TV Kisses


Ross and Rachel's first kiss on Friends has topped a new poll of TV smooches.

The television couple, played by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, first locked lips in the second season of the sitcom and their kiss beat Richard Chamberlain's romantic encounter with Rachel Ward in The Thorn Birds in the new poll in TV Guide.

The top 10 TV kisses are:

1. Ross + Rachel (Friends) 2. Father Ralph + Meggie (The Thorn Birds) 3. Sam + Diane (Cheers) 4. Carrie + Mr Big (Sex + The City) 5. Kate + Sawyer (Lost) 6. Buffy + Spike (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) 7. Susan + Mike (Desperate Housewives) 8. Pacey + Joey (Dawson's Creek) 9. Sydney + Vaughn (Alias) 10. Marissa + Ryan (The OC).

1 It's always funny to me when these lists come out and are laden with "bests" from the past 1-5 years (or so). It's just as meaningless as Rolling Stone's Top 100 Whatever of all time.
