Unlikely Pair
Pianist Ben Folds has pushed back the release date of his upcoming solo album to concentrate on Has Been, a collection by Star Trek star and sometime musician William Shatner (Captain Kirk).

Ben Folds and William Shatner? I think Ben Folds' music is amazing. But William Shatner? Hmmm.

That is an odd combination.
I am also a Ben Folds fan. Have you checked out A.C. Newman? If you like Ben you might him.

Ben Folds and William Shatner have collaborated before. Shatner contributed "vocals" to a couple of songs on Folds' Fear of Pop CD from a few years back. While I'm not much of a Folds fan, I did like that CD (although I didn't care for the Shatner tracks).

Not sure how many A.C Newman songs you would know -- solo CD was released this month. But if you know the New Pornographers (i didn't) he is the frontman for them - goes by Carl Newman.
